Almost done again ....

This Saturday will be my last day at the Cookeville Hancock Fabrics.  No they are not closed yet but my ride to the store (a 72 mile one way trip) has found a job and will start on Monday.  Yeah Gayle !!!  So,  I am now looking at unemployment square in the face.  Dh would rather I take at least the summer off.  He wants to travel a bit and then we will decide.

Done and Done

Hancock Fabrics in Murfreesboro,TN is now closed and I am moving on to Cookeville a couple of days a week to help them out for the next 8ish weeks.  Though it most likely won't be 8 weeks as we have been planning a vacation in June.  More on decisions later.

For anyone interested, who lives in Middle Tennessee, Hancock Fabrics in Murfreesboro is going out of business and everything right now is at least 40 % off.  This includes sewing machines.  Everything must go to the walls.

Busy Times ...

Life has been hectic to say the least but all that is going to change soon.  We found out February 1 that my place of employment is closing.  I didn't see it coming so it definitely took me off guard.  After my initial anger I decided that it was a good thing and to adopt the motto "it is what it is".  I have been working more than normal since then as the liquidation sale started the 10th of February.  We have not been given an end date yet but it is assumed that we will not go into May.  Dh does not want me to find another job so I will be home soon full time. A lot of changes lie ahead.  A lot of rethinking how we do things.  Staying home more, eating out less.  Working the garden harder than last year when I was working so much.  Needing to cut a lot of corners to save money.  My $400 to $500 a month really helped us. Prayers are appreciated to make these changes successfully.

Review of February Goals

Ok,  reality really stinks.  On Feb. 5 my dear husband had to take me to the emergency room and I ended up having surgery the next day.  I have been out of work since.  No lifting for another 5 weeks over 20 pounds.  So much of my goals did not get done.  Lets see if I got anything done:  :) Home Goals 1.  Continue to work on dining room area.  We are transforming it into a dining room.  still not done 2.  Continue to straighten and organize sewing room. worked some in here but still not done 3.  Inventory pantry area and organize better.   dh worked on this a bit Health Goals 1.  Start working out again.   I froze my gym membership for now 2.  Test sugar levels more consistently.   getting better 3.  Continue to write down what I am eating.   started doing this again Spirital Goals 1.  Read bible daily.   getting better 2.  Attend ladies class on S...

February Goals

Couple of days late but ..... here they are: Home Goals 1.  Continue to work on dining room area.  We are transforming it into a dining room. 2.  Continue to straighten and organize sewing room. 3.  Inventory pantry area and organize better. Health Goals 1.  Start working out again. 2.  Test sugar levels more consistently. 3.  Continue to write down what I am eating. Spirital Goals 1.  Read bible daily. 2.  Attend ladies class on Sunday mornings. Family Goals 1.  Date night with hubby X2 2.  Have dd and sil over once 3.  Have ds and dil over once I know some of these are general in nature.  I am just trying to change behaviors right now.

Review of January goals

It is time to review how I did this month with my goals. Goals for January 2015 I am going to try this again and hopefully this year be more successful. Home Goals: 1.  inventory pantry, deep freezers and fridge.  All "food stuffs" and plan menus around this first.   I did this twice this month 2.  organize sewing room now that Christmas is over.   Did not get this done 3.  go through kitchen"gadgets" and get rid of what I don't use   Not done 4.  clean "room of holding"   started but not finished Health Goals: 1.  start working out 3 x a week   big fail 2.  record what I eat and when to see patterns   I did start this process 3.  test blood sugar more regularly   not consistent 4.  cut down soda to 2 a day   Yes 5.  lose three pounds   I lost 1.5 pounds Spiritual Goals: 1.  start reading my bible every day   yes 2.  listen to more worship music   yes 3.  part...
