This is my darling daughter helping me by cutting onions for the salsa. Isn't she cute. ~smile~
The above are my cookbook shelves that I had to take the cookbooks off so I would have somewhere to put my jars.  This is pickles, beans, relishes, pickled beets, salsa and tomato products.
Above is in my kitchen where I have dill pickles and strawberry jam.  These are only  part of it.  I have not taken pictures of the rest of it yet.

    I came to your blog through the comment you left on my blog and I am so glad I did!

    I don't can but I remember how my grandmothers canned and some of my childhood neighbors did.

    Your canned goods are just beautiful.

Today has been a busy day.  My daughter had all four wisdom teeth taken out and I had two doctors appointments - all before noon.  Thank goodness for her boyfriend who came to take her home for me and stayed until I got back.  My sweet daughter doesn't handle pain really well and we couldn't get her pain meds until I got back with the car.  Poor thing.  She just woke up very hungry so I have homemade chicken noodle soup on the stove smelling wonderful.  Dad and I will have grilled cheese sandwiches with it.  Perfect for a rainy night.   Well my dear son, Ian has officially withdrawn from college and has applied at a tech school.  He wants to study computer IT and found out that there is a nine month wait to get into the program.  So now he needs to find a day job to go with his night job.  His night job only gives him 20-27 hours a week and he will need more than that.  He is thinking of applying to substitute teach for the county.  His finance knows that this will delay the we...

I am back .....

I am starting to feel a little better and now dh is getting sick again. Wow we just can't get a break. I basically missed the entire month of May. So sad. Just was our 28th wedding anniversary. I can't believe that it has been that long already. We went to Cheekwood in Nashville to walk through the gardens. It is absolutely beautiful. We walked for two and a half hours and still didn't see everything. It was an absolutely amazing day weather wise which really helped also. We ate an early dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then home for the night. By the time we finally got home my feet had swelled but it was still a wonderful day. Today I am working on this month's budget. Boy is it going to be a tight month. My birthday is next Saturday, thought I don't expect anything since money is tight also David has a workshop on the 4th which he will be on his own for lunch and then another class at the end of the month though it is only half a day. Finally got to the store today though the roads were not as bad as I thought they would be.  Boy is it snowing now though.  Got what I need for the next two weeks except maybe fresh stuff.  Here is what I got: Krogers: hamburg buns popcorn (free) hot dog buns hot dogs X 2 baby cereal 18 ct eggs sliced cheese tortilla chips X 2 wet dog food X 4 drink mix X 2 coffee - for school slaw dressing rotel tomatoes X 4 coke zero - 3 12pks ramen X 20 canned mushrooms X 2 2 lb velvet cheese carrots 1lb mushrooms .86 lb potatoes ham lunch meat veggie tray Total spent:  $69.98 The ramen was on sale for .17 cents each.  Hot dogs were BOGO. I used Ibotta and will get back $1.35 for my purchases.
